​Cépages Somm Academy is a wine school with a simple mandate:

to offer the best possible courses (with zero pretension) while raising the bar of wine education in our home city of Ottawa, ON.

At Cépages, we provide our proprietary Fundamentals Program: Wine Tasting 101, the CAPS Certified Program, and other unique programs, or what we like to call "Deep Dives". While the CAPS certification courses are extensive certifications, the "Tasting 101" and "Deep Dives" are bespoke topics. With the "Deep Dives" being condensed topics, typically offered in 1 - 3 day courses which focus on matters we love to discuss when we get together to taste thematically.

and why the majority of in-class time is spent tasting.

As a group of long time restaurant professionals who had to do it themselves,

we want to give back to our community by providing the resources

that weren't available to us.
